Real name: Jas Washington-Brown. I moved from Trinidad and Tobago to the U.S. at 20 and joined the Air Force shortly after. While stationed on base, my job included escorting civilian contractors onto the premises — that's when I started asking questions about how non-military folks were getting paid by the federal government.
That curiosity turned into a calling. After leaving the Air Force, I spent years studying federal contracting from the inside out. I hired mentors. I invested in my own education. And I figured out fast that the barriers to entry weren't nearly as high as the gurus made them out to be.
Once I started winning contracts, family and friends started asking how. Before long, I was coaching full-time. With a martial arts background and a history of teaching, the "Coach" title stuck — and FGC Simplified was born.

No. You need a business entity (LLC or sole prop), an EIN, and a SAM.gov registration — all of which I walk you through. Certifications like 8(a), WOSB, or HUBZone help in some cases, but you can win contracts without them.
